During my travels, I noticed that you do not need to speak the same language in order to understand each other. I encountered it in many Southeast Asian countries, where I couldn’t speak the local language and my counterpart couldn’t speak English, so we had no language to interact with.
That’s what I thought, at least. But if the positive desire to share something is here, the universal language applies and through many different ways, it is possible to transmit the message. Not only simple things like the direction, but full conversations about travels, profession, questions, and answers. It’s pretty interesting to be fully aware of when that happens and observe it.
My parents-in-law were visiting Albania this year, and even though they didn’t speak Albanian with the locals, they were able to have multiple conversations and they understood each other.
There’s been only one case where I witnessed that this is not working. Trying to communicate with negative intent or negative emotions. In cases like that, the “communication” was surrounded by a bad aura and the universal language wasn’t applied.
